Perjalanan Joshumbrella berawal dari acara musik di sebuah SMA di Amerika pada tahun 2006. Dengan mengandalkan gitar akustik, dia juga pernah mengadakan tour di Jepang. Terpengaruh kuat oleh Elliot Smith hingga Kotaro Oshio, kali ini Joshumbrella menyuguhkan kombinasi vokal dan petikan gitar akustik dalam sebuah self-titled EP melalui inmyroom records.
